Proper aftercare is an important part of your Permanent Eyeliner and Lash Line Enhancement healing process. Following the recommended aftercare instructions helps protect the treated area, support healthy skin healing, and allows the pigment to settle properly for the best possible healed results.

Taking care of your eyes after your permanent makeup procedure plays an important role in achieving long-lasting, beautiful, and natural-looking results.

Eye Care During the First Week

Immediately after your permanent eyeliner procedure, your eyes may appear slightly swollen, red, or more sensitive than usual. This is a normal part of the healing process and usually improves within a few days.

Mild swelling will not affect your ability to drive. However, if your eyes feel sensitive, you may choose to rest and avoid unnecessary eye strain.

During the first 7 days:

  • Keep the treated area clean and avoid touching your eyes with unwashed hands.

  • Gently cleanse your face with your regular gentle facial cleanser, being careful around the eyeliner area.

  • Apply a very thin layer of Vaseline/petroleum jelly to the treated area for 1 week(morning and night), using a clean cotton swab and only a small amount. Avoid applying excessive product.

  • Wear sunglasses when outdoors during the first week to protect your eyes from sunlight, dust, and environmental exposure.

What to Avoid After Permanent Eyeliner

To ensure proper healing and pigment retention, please avoid:

  • Any eye makeup for 2 weeks after your procedure, including eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, and other cosmetic products around the eyes.

  • Eyelash extensions, lash lifts, and lash treatments for at least 2 weeks.

  • Eyelash growth serums for 2 weeks after your permanent eyeliner procedure.

  • Swimming pools, oceans, lakes, rivers, and hot tubs for 7–10 days.

  • Saunas, steam rooms, and excessive heat exposure for 7–10 days.

  • Heavy workouts and excessive sweating for 7 days.

  • Facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, or exfoliating products around the eye area for at least 2 weeks.

Healing & Scabbing Process

During healing, your eyeliner may appear darker, thicker, or more intense immediately after the procedure. This is completely normal. As the skin heals, the color will soften and the final healed result will become more natural.

Small flakes or light scabbing may appear as part of the healing process. Do not pick, scratch, or remove any flakes or scabs. Allow them to fall off naturally to prevent pigment loss and uneven results.

Important Eye Safety Tips

  • Always wash your hands before touching the eye area.

  • Avoid rubbing your eyes during the healing period.

  • Avoid applying any products that are not recommended by your permanent makeup artist until the skin has fully healed.

Complete healing usually takes approximately 6–8 weeks. Following these permanent eyeliner aftercare instructionswill help support beautiful healed results and long-lasting pigment retention.
