Proper aftercare is an essential part of your permanent makeup eyebrow healing process. All clients are required to follow the aftercare instructions after their eyebrow permanent makeup procedure to support proper healing, protect the treated area, and achieve the best healed results.
Following your aftercare routine helps with pigment retention, color stability, and creating beautiful, natural-looking results from your powder brows, ombré brows, combo brows, or nano brows procedure.
Every client receives a personalized aftercare kit after their permanent makeup eyebrow appointment with recommended products to help care for their brows during the healing process
First 2 Hours After Your Eyebrow Permanent Makeup Procedure
Gently wipe your eyebrows with a clean tissue or cotton pad moistened with sterile water every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours after your appointment.
Do not rub, scrub, or apply pressure to the treated area. Use only gentle motions to remove any excess lymph or fluid.
Eyebrow Cleaning & Moisturizing Routine (First 7–10 Days)
For the first 7–10 days after your eyebrow tattoo procedure:
Every morning, gently wash your eyebrows using a gentle cleanser or antibacterial soap with clean water.
Rinse carefully to remove all cleanser residue.
Pat your eyebrows dry with a clean tissue or paper towel. Do not rub.
Apply a very small, pea-sized amount of healing cream/ointment from your aftercare kit in a thin layer.
Avoid applying too much product, as excessive moisture can affect the healing process and pigment retention.
Sun Protection After Permanent Makeup Eyebrows
Protecting your eyebrows from the sun is very important for long-lasting permanent makeup results.
During the first 7 days after your eyebrow procedure, protect your brows from direct sun exposure by wearing sunglasses and/or a hat when outdoors.
After the initial healing period, apply SPF (sunscreen) daily on your eyebrows to help protect the pigment from fading and maintain your permanent makeup color for a longer time.
Consistent sun protection helps preserve the healed results of your powder brows, ombré brows, nano brows, or combo brows.
What to Avoid After Permanent Makeup Eyebrows
To ensure the best healing results, please avoid:
Water directly on your eyebrows for 7–10 days (including swimming pools, ocean water, hot tubs, and soaking the brows).
Heavy sweating and intense workouts for 7 days.
Saunas, steam rooms, and excessive heat exposure for 7–10 days.
Facials, chemical peels, exfoliating treatments, retinol, acids, and laser treatments around the brow area for at least 2 weeks.
Makeup and skincare products directly on the treated eyebrow area until fully healed.
Touching, scratching, picking, or peeling any flakes or scabs. Let the skin heal naturally to prevent pigment loss.
Healing Process
Your eyebrows may appear darker, bolder, or warmer immediately after your permanent makeup procedure. This is a normal part of the healing process. As the skin heals, the color will soften and the final healed results will become visible.
Complete healing usually takes 6–8 weeks. Following these permanent makeup eyebrow aftercare instructions will help you achieve beautiful, natural, and long-lasting results.
Thank you for trusting Lux Ink by Dasha with your permanent makeup eyebrows.
